Good Vibrations Celebrates Seventh Store Opening Soon

Pioneering Sex Positive Retailer Brings Pleasure to the heart of Silicon Valley

San Francisco (September 4th, 2013): Good Vibrations, the trusted San Francisco Bay Area based company that takes pride in providing accurate sexual health information and quality sex toys will be bringing pleasure to the people of the South Bay when they open their seventh store in the chic shopping district of Palo Alto. The feel-good retailer is set to open the doors of their elegant new location in early October.

Executive Vice President Jackie Strano says, "Many of our loyal customers over the past thirty-six years have hailed from the peninsula and surrounding areas of Palo Alto, and we are delighted to bring our brand of fun sex-positive education and carefully curated pleasure products to the South Bay. In addition to our retail offerings, we look forward to hosting fun events, tours for the medical and educational community, and popular workshops. We are proud to expand the brand into the headquarters of high tech and innovation where companies like Tesla, Facebook, and Apple hang their hat. It's an exciting time for the company and we have worked very hard to continue to grow and stay relevant in changing and turbulent times."

Situated right off of University Avenue alongside many charming boutiques and restaurants with ample access to parking and public transit, Good Vibrations looks forward to bringing customers' experience to a new level for the Peninsula/South Bay in this exciting and accessible location. Good Vibrations has always been a destination retailer for adults desiring a safe, well-lit, comfortable and well-stocked place to shop for quality pleasure products. The staff couldn't be happier about serving Palo Alto and the surrounding cities.

The Palo Alto store will be Good Vibrations' seventh store and its sixth store in California. Starting with the original Mission District locations since 1977, the iconic retailer opened its second store in Berkeley in 1994; added a location in the Polk Street/Nob Hill neighborhood in 2003; and established an Eastern Seaboard store in Brookline, Massachusetts, a section of the greater Boston metropolitan area, in 2006. In 2011 Good Vibrations opened its downtown store in San Francisco, near the Westfield shopping mall across from Bloomingdale's, and its most recent location opened in 2012 in the Lakeshore shopping district of Oakland, CA.

According to Staff Sexologist/Chief Cultural Officer Carol Queen, PhD, who is the company's longest-serving staff member, "We are eager to be part of the academic and medical community and serve the vibrant, bustling community of Palo Alto. There's no experience that compares to a visit to a truly sex-positive store like Good Vibrations, and this will allow us to do an even better job promoting pleasure, quality, and communication. Stanford University is just a stone's throw from the new location and besides the lectures and panels I have done there, we look forward to more outreach and providing a resource of trusted information.

A grand opening celebration party will be announced soon.
