What is YOU OUGHTA BE IN PICTURES?
"You Oughta Be In Pictures" is a Boston institution. Designed by Kim Airs and co-sponsored by Good Vibrations, the film festival shows the work of local amateur adult filmmakers in three showings at the Coolidge Corner Theater in Brookline, MA.
When are the shows?
May 9th at 9:30 pm, May 12th at midnight, and May 13th at midnight.
How much are tickets, and where can I buy them?
Tickets are on sale for $12 from Good Vibrations Brookline and www.coolidge.org.
How do I enter a film?
Visit www.grandopening.com and print out the necessary paperwork. Then drop off your sealed film and paperwork at Good Vibrations Brookline, or send to Kim Airs, P.O. Box 1897, Brookline, MA 02446.
Are there any requirements for the films?
Your film should be five minutes or less, and cannot include sex with animals. All persons who appear in the film must be over 18. Submit your film in Mini DV format only. Your original will be returned either by insured mail or in person at the screening.
How do you insure that all performers are 18 or older?
We will not accept any films without the proper releases indicating that every performer is 18 years of age or older.
What do you do with the films after the screenings?
We make three copies of the edited films, one for each screening. Each final copy is destroyed at the end of each screening.
Are there prizes?
No. The festival is not judged. However, if your film is shown, you will receive at least two tickets to each show depending on the number of participants in your video. All ticket holders will receive a Good Vibrations discount coupon.
