Good Vibrations Announces Sponsorship In the 7th Annual "You Oughta Be in Pictures," Amateur Adult Film Festival

SAN FRANCISCO (April 11th, 2006): Good Vibrations, the legendary destination for sex toys, personal care products and books and videos, announces its sponsorship of the greater Boston area's You Oughta Be in Pictures (YOBIP), curated and produced by local sex personality Kim Airs. Since closing the brick and mortar location of her store, Grand Opening!, Airs has continued producing Boston area workshops and events under "Kim Airs Presents". This will be the 7th year that Kim Airs and the Coolidge Corner Theatre on Harvard in Brookline will host this popular screening of local amateur erotic videos. Shows will be held on May 9th at 9:30 pm and on May 12th and 13th at midnight. Tickets are available for $12.00 at Good Vibrations at 308-A Harvard Street (on the parking lot) or at the ticket office at Coolidge Corner Theatre or online at (www.coolidge.org)

So you wanna be an adult film star on the big screen? Video curator Airs says "Your video should be no more than five minutes in length (to allow time to show all the submissions), in mini DV format. We may edit content if it's too long. The content of your video is up to you, with two exceptions: no one may be under 18 years old (even if they are in the background in a non-sexual role), and there may be no sex with animals. Past video submissions have covered the gamut- showing your face, or not showing your face, showing your body or not showing your body, masks, costumes, tell a sexy story, making sex funny, romantic, teasing, just plain hot, kinky, BDSM, what ever you feel would be fun to make and even more fun to watch. Every sexual preference and sexuality is shown and celebrated in a non-judgmental sex-positive manner."

Unlike the ubiquitous sex tapes of Paris Hilton, the film submissions will be edited together into one tape per screening and seen only once. Following each show, Kim Airs will destroy the tape and assures that annual film submissions will never show up on the web or any other dubious location. The submission deadline for your video is April 23th, 2006.

According to Kim Airs, "The YOBIP film fest was inspired by a handful of my Grand Opening! customers. Several shared their fantasy of filming a video, so I decided to offer an opportunity to them to be a star for a night." The festival has been very well received over the years. You Oughta Be in Pictures caught the attention of Playboy's Television '"Sexcetera" cameras last year and the segment will be airing this year on April 22th, 2006. HBO has also visited Brookline to cover YOBIP resulting in an one hour feature titled "Real Sex Presents: Porn 101: XXXtra Credit," Airs adds.

Good Vibrations Staff Sexologist Dr. Carol Queen comments, "We are very excited to be involved with You Oughta Be In Pictures amateur adult film fest. It's a wonderful way for people to express their sexuality publicly without requiring anyone to color within the lines of commercial porn. This should be the porn of the future: creative individuals making the movies they want to see."

We'll see you on the big screen!
