I've had a lot of issues with lubricant in the past. A couple years ago my friend introduced me to the Please liquid lubricant and WOW, what a difference it made in masturbation and sex! I finally ran out and got more, but to my dismay, the formula had changed and, as it's been said, this new one is much more watery and does not last very long, so you have to use much more of it than with the old kind. It slips off my toys irritatingly quickly.
BUT this is still a great lubricant and remains my favorite, in spite of the update.
Why oh why did they reformulate this most amazing lube? The old version of this was spectacular for penetration/fisting or otherwise hard/long duration internal play and light/medium anal (it did gum up for external play but that’s not what it was made for). The new version is very watery – it ran off my toys (realistic, traditional silicon, and condom covered others). It performed well once it was directly applied but I don’t feel comfortable using this for fisting any longer. That said, the amazing people at Good Vibes told me to check out the reformulated Please Gel since they made that product a little thinner than its previous truely gel state *fingers crossed*
The new Please Liquid swung the pendulum the other way and is now better for external play since it doesn’t get gummy and light/medium penetration. I guess you could say that this light weight lube works well for light weight play, and that works for some, but if you go harder, you will need something that can keep up (maybe the new Please Gel once it comes out).
Otherwise, I love Please. 1) They have figured out the taste problem better than any lube I’ve tried. I used to avoid lube in my mouth like the plague but Please is slightly sweet with no un/intentional fake plastic or chemically flavors. Note - I have not tasted the new version yet because it was removed from the nightstand, replaced with my old version, and will continue to be replaced with the 5 large bottles of the old version that I just cleaned off the GoodVibes shelf 2) I know that I am not hurting my toys 3) The fact that it is free of glycerin, paraben, propylene, glycol, and all the other crap means I can use it with every partner – hippie/al natural, paranoid, sensitive, or otherwise, and most importantly, 4) it works best for my body (most lubes make my clit burn but not this brand) and how I play – this takes homework – invest in sample sizes if you are not happy with your lube.
