Madison Young wrote, directed and starred in this avant-garde feature inspired by the films of Andy Warhol. The production is peppered with retro references, paying tribute to the pop art revolution. Follow the rise and fall of Maddie Superstar, a starving suburban artist who becomes San Francisco’s “it” girl. Each scorching sex scene is a visceral vision, from the down and dirty deeds in a public bathroom to the fierce femme catfight for the spotlight. An enigma of erotica cinema, the film also includes a meaty performance piece by art duo twincest, with the pair paying homage to Carolee Schneemann and Yoko Ono.
