Fantastic for beginners

This is my first harness and I could not love it more. Super simple, nothing to fiddle with, and very sexy. I went by my underwear size, and got a perfect fit.
Plus Sizes Lacking

I ordered a 46-49 size harness on the rodeoH website because an XL on this site is a 33-35. I was a little dissapointed, I am a 43/44 at the hip and the rodeoh is tight, it is too tight for my partner who is a 46 at the hip. It sits right at the hipbone so for those who have stomachs, it sits underneath. For me this is an issue, i prefer my stomach didn't dance when I'm busy. It needs a few more inches of fabric to cover the lower half of the stomach. I would suggest those with a hip larger than 47, get the size bigger.

"The rodeo-h? I've heard of it. It is cute..." I was skeptical, but since I’d pay $12 for those boybriefs at American Apparel, I figured why not give these a try. The Rodeo is priced at $45. To my cheap-o logic, $33 for a harness was kind of a no-brainer. And did I mention they're cute? They're black and white and red all over. My partner was practically begging to see me in them. Hot.
What was less of a no-brainer was the sizing. The display pair read "Small" and suggested a range of inches (26”-29", I think) that was smaller than my waistline (30" at the waist, 36" at the hips). Yet they looked my size; I was skeptical. I tried them on over my baggy jeans, and hey, they fit. So I took a risk, despite not being a "small" by many "female" standards. It works; I wouldn't recommend getting any larger if you are my size. This is the kind of product you actually want to be a bit snug, and they do stretch quite a lot. If you're lucky enough to have a retail store carrying this in your area, wear tight pants and try on the display model. If you're ordering online, you may want to consider ordering a size smaller than the chart recommends (at your own risk). Anyway, I lucked out and the small works for me.
On the way home, I did not get the sinking buyer's remorse I sometimes feel after shopping at places with no return policy. Actually, I couldn't wait to get home and unpack it-and then repack it. All night at dinner I fondled them under the table--the material was just so seductive- soft and strong, with a good amount of give. Finally, I got home and unwrapped it fully. Let me digress for a minute to say I am a *total* design snob, and I liked this package design. Nothing unnecessary. No vacuum-sealed obnoxious plastic or instruction sheets. Just a drawstring pouch and a little dog tag with the brand on it. Cute.
Ok. On to the fun stuff. My dick is moderately large (the Adam, if you care about these things.) and it slid into the pocket- and out the hole- of the briefs easily. Quicker to put on than my strappy leather harness, and no adjusting required. Cool. The rubber O ring seems solid and a good diameter for most strap-on dicks. Good thing, because it isn't interchangeable; it’s sewn right in. So, I play with myself a bit, you know, to test it out. My dick stands erect and looks pretty, but also (and this is very different from my leather harness) folds down easily to lay against my thigh, with little pressure on my pubic bone. Seems good for packing, but will it be a problem when it comes to intercourse? Stay tuned. I did notice it rides a bit higher than I normally would wear a dick, and there's no real way to adjust this. Oh well. At least it looks good.
Now for the test run. I was concerned about lack of control, but if anything, the "aim” was the same or better in this department than my leather harness. There was a bit more.. um... elasticity in the motion, which is like having sex on a spring mattress as opposed to the floor- makes it less jerky, and probably more pleasurable for your catcher. Unless they're into that sort of thing. Basically, the physics of my pulling out was slowed down a bit by the stretch in the fabric. The pushing in is the same; it just takes a fraction of a second to pull your dick out after you've already pulled your hips back.
Anyway. The other big difference is sensation. I attribute this mostly to the placement high on the pubic mound. I don't know about you, but I think of my silicone dick as an extension of my (not silicone) clit, and it's usually very sensitive because I position the base of the cock right on top. For example I can feel when I'm in and when I'm out, with a rough idea of how deep I'm penetrating. Plus the pressure feels awesome. However with the RODEOH that feeling was quieter; I actually didn't notice until my partner told me that I had fallen out, which was a bit embarrassing for a veteran strap-on-sexer. Of course, your results may differ, but that was my primary complaint. Not flimsiness, or control, like you might expect, but less sensation through the dick. I'd be less likely to come from topping in this harness, but coming isn't everything. There was more sensation in other ways- like actually being able to feel my partner's soft body that I'm crashing into instead of metal hardware digging into my bits. That was nice.
It's unobtrusive, easy to lust after, and works. I'd say if you're waffling on this purchase, go for it. Will it replace my leather harness? Nah. I still like that for really rough fucking or a sense of security if I want to be moving around into other positions a bunch. But, for $45, it's definitely got it's place in my toy box, and I'd recommend it hands-down as a starting harness or second harness or packing harness to anyone. You won't regret it.
