This vib really isn't worth the price. It has relatively weak vibrations and it really isn't focused enough. The controls are pretty convient for use but who cares it just doesn't work so well. Its pretty quiet though so if you don't need much intensity it might work well for you. I thought that the fact that it was ergo. designed actually ended up being a handicap for it. I also haven't tried to use it during sex but don't think it would work out. Its just too big and would get in the way. Maybe that's just cause I'm small but I think a vibrating cock ring would work along better if you can get your hubby or bf to wear it.

I've spent hundreds of dollars on toys ranging from cheap throwaways to the latest-and-greatest luxury offerings. But the Laya is far away my favorite of the bunch. I keep coming back to the Laya because it truly is the best at doing its job, at least for me. Other toys are fun to experiment with, of course, and many times they are greatly successful. But the Laya is my "sure thing."
Pros: - It's small, cute, and made of skin-safe materials like hard plastic and elastomed. It also doesn't cost an arm and a leg.
- Due to the small size and ergonomic shape, it's fun and easy to use with a partner. You can use either end for shallow insertion if that's your thing, and the way it cups the pubic region makes masturbation while sitting down or lying face down on top of the toy just great. As I'm a face-down type of girl when I'm on my own, this toy really fits the bill.
- It packs quite a punch considering it's only powered by two AAA batteries. And it doesn't eat through those batteries, either.
- Due to the construction of the battery compartment and cap, the toy is slightly water resistant, so long as you are careful not to submerge it and check the compartment for dampness when you're done. I've taken it into the shower a bunch of times and it still works good as new.
- Mine, at least, has lasted me several years, and is still going strong. And I use this toy more than any other in my collection. If it ever breaks (and at this point, if it breaks it's more due to the fact that I've just worn it out over time, not shoddy construction) I will GLADLY buy another. That's the real test of loyalty, right there. It helps that I wouldn't have to remortage the house to do so, either.
- The 8 speeds and 3 patterns are simple, but effective. I only need speed level 3 to get the job done, but it's nice to have variety, as well.
- The Laya has a lower, thumpier vibe than some of my higher-end rechargables like the Lily. For me, those are the vibes that are the most effective.
Cons: - It would be nice if the Laya were made entirely waterproof, or even if Fun Factory just beefed up the water resistance. The Laya would make a GREAT tub toy.
- A rechargeable version would be awesome, provided that Fun Factory could keep the vibe frequency and power levels the same as what they are now. Fun Factory has created waterproof rechargeables before, so I know they could pull it off with the Laya. That would greatly broaden the toy's appeal, but probably make it more pricier as well.
- While the Laya is far from the weakest vibe I've owned and enjoyed, power queens might find the vibrations on the Laya a bit lacking, even on the highest settings.
All in all, I'm in love with my Laya and would recommend it to all of my friends who are into toys. It's great for beginners and pros alike, and truly is my favorite toy. Unless you need Hitachi-level power or really love higher-frequency vibrations, the Laya should hit the spot.

This vibrator does a great job of stimulating the vulva and clitoris. The adjustable speeds are helpful--you can start with a low vibration and build up. Do check the batteries--they have to be inserted in the correct way or the thing will just turn on at the highest vibration.
I don't see how you can use this underwater, though, as one reviewer said. It's not water proof. In fact, when you clean it, I think you have to be careful of water getting inside through the battery cap. Let it dry out before using again. This might be why it broke so soon for some.

I've had two of these little ones in two years because I love how it hugs me so well, and I like a medium-level vibe. It works very well when it works. However, the motors have broken down really quickly, like some other reviewers said...and it runs out of batteries pretty quickly, or even if it doesn't run out completely, lower battery juice means a significantly lower vibe.
Now that I know other people have had the motors die on them, I'm look to greener fields, and rechargable ones at that.

the only thing i can think is that some other folks got duds, because if the batteries are fresh she definitely packs quite a vibrational punch so to speak.

I'm a SESA (sex educator sales associate) at one of the stores. It sounds like you put the batteries in backwards- if so the vibe turns on as soon as you close the cap, not when you turn it on by holding down the plus for 2 seconds. You also wouldn't be able to change the speed. If you switch the batteries around you should be good to go. The laya is a consistant best seller for us in the stores and it is very rare to get back a defective item. Hope this info helps!

This thing has very little punch to it. It's like a cat purr. And not one of those intense, drooly muffin-making purrs. It's vibration is super weak. And not to mention it has too many settings for such a weak vibe.
Fabulous design but, no kick. If you like a hard working vibe this is not for you.
The one perk: it came with a sample of BodyFluid Lovegel... OH MY GOD! If you're usually an oil person, this might make you want to switch. I did and my sheets are thanking me for it! I even went out and bought a bottle the next day. No really, it's that good.
