Large but effective January 18, 2010

This was the first vibrator I bought. I works very well, but I found it incredibly large, and kind of painful. I was scared to move it if I could get it in. I paid more attention on my next quest on bought the pink rabbit which is a lot skinnier. If you can take the diameter, I highly recommend it.

I've owned a lot of vibes and this is the best one I've ever had by a long shot. When I really need to just get off I can do it quickly, and when I really want to have fun I've even had multiples with it! Vibration is strong and vibrates the entire shaft, speed is easily adjustable, and it is hard but has a bit of give so you don't hurt yourself if you get carried away. ;)

I don't really use it as intended (I'm a bit odd in how I like to be stimulated) but I've found it is very versatile and is pleasurable in a variety of positions. I like to press the smooth side against my labia, it is strong enough to stimulate clit, labia, and ass from that position. It is also great for penetration, it's like a Klingon Dick with all the ridges. :D

Downside: they do tend to break a lot. Mine gets *ahem* a fair bit of use and I've gone through 4 in ~6 years. One broke right away, the others lasted 6 months to several years. But given how many vibrators I've bought, used twice, and thought "Meh" this one is well worth the investment!!!

Also I should say it's louder than some other vibes I've had, particularly when you turn the speed all the way up, but that's because it is very strong.

I bought this for my birthday and after 2 uses it conked out. I was reluctant to get another one but GV kindly replaced it and I've had my second one for 3 years now! Battery replacement isn't as tricky as people say. Don't get water in it and you should be fine. If you use it a lot, yeah, the motor will stop working. Also, I love all the vibrational settings. One of the better ones out there! Enjoy!

First, I found it uncomfortable. The texture along the shaft would hurt me after a couple of minutes. Second, It broke! I've had it for around 6 months and don't even use it that often. I found that water had leaked inside after when I washed it. I haven't opened it in months, so it was well closed. It's very hard to open anyways. Very disappointing since it's not a cheap product!

I seem to have gotten quite good at this (I've had my bad boy for 8 months and I hope the motor doesn't burn out! Yikes!)

I've noticed that the instructions for opening the compartment are never clear enough. Hopefully this will help at least one person figure it out. No one should have to use a screwdriver to pop the thing open. Here goes (and it'll get simpler as you practice):

Turn the toy upside down and hold it so that the head is curving toward you. Place your thumbs onto the indented grey areas on either side of the base. You have to press VERY HARD, with both hands at the same time. (On the blue and purple ones in the picture, there are yellow dots on either side--this is where you should press.)

You will hear a quiet click on one side or other when this is done correctly. Carefully check the black or grey plastic endcap part with the control knob (depending on which color you have--my black one has a different color scheme from the one in the picture) and you will see a small relief-molded arrow pointing upward toward the control knob. It is on the side with the clit nub, about an inch above it when the unit is held upside down (hence holding the toy with the curve toward yourself).

This is the bit that seems to be left out of all the instructions. This arrow is in line with the way the control end is tilted, and you'll see that the way it slides open makes sense, once you've examined it. You can open it by pressing both thumbs onto this arrow and pressing upward, if you heard two clicks.

If you heard one click, there should be a small gap on one side of the cap to let you know that one side is open. Either work the cap off by wiggling it back and forth until it opens, use your thumbs on the arrow, or press the other side to pop it fully away and voila, your toy is open and ready for cleaning, drying or fresh batts. The important thing to remember is that these close TIGHTLY for water resistance which makes them so wonderfully streamlined and easily cleaned. I find it to be a really elegantly-made battery compartment (the batteries even sit at graduated heights so it's easier to get the polarities correct), but to echo other reviewers, it is insanely difficult to open until you figure out the tricks.

Once the top is off, be sure to examine it as well, and you'll see the "legs" on either side of it that click into the vibe itself. These are the clicking objects you're pressing inward when you push the grey spots to unlatch the top. Taking a good look at it while it's apart helps you get a feel for how it works in a mechanical sense and makes it easier to open the next time, so get to know it a little and it will no longer seem so complex. The design is ingenious for the purpose of water resistance, but it's definitely not user-friendly at first. You shouldn't have to be an engineer just to put fresh batteries in your vibrator :)

I hope this helps. It took me a long time to figure this out on my own, as even videos of the process aren't really a helpful resource. GV, this is obviously a problem with Fun Factory toys. Every site I've visited, buyers are upset that they can't get at the batteries and some have given up on these great toys. It would be cool to have a step-by-step photo set of the battery changing process, or something of the like, as it's apparent that this design issue is depriving a lot of people of the full enjoyment of a pretty expensive and well-made product. Your articles are great, please do something to help customer satisfaction with this line!

I don't think of myself as being hard on the things I take to bed with me, but this certainly can't take it. The first time my G-Twist died five months in, I assumed that it'd just been battered about too much in my suitcase on a recent 2-week trek. My guy and I liked it enough as a toy that I bought the same thing as replacement, but over the next nine months to a year, it just...stopped working as well. And started going through batteries faster. And then stopped working all together. It's too expensive as a toy to last such a short period of time, and I'm not picky enough about vibes to commit myself to that kind of annual fee.

Honestly, the best thing about this is how quiet it is--perfect for apartment-dwellers in old buildings with thin walls--so I'm trying the Nea next, since it's also a volume: 2 but, according to the guy, not as scary-looking as some of the other options. That one's even more expensive, though, so I better not be back here looking for a new one any time soon...

Very good vibe with veriable speeds from light to OMG. Putting the batteries in is difficult and I wish there were directions explaining how to do it. and I was afraid I might break it figuring it out. This is the only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5. So, this is how you do put the batteries in: the entire grey part pops off. It is very difficult to do and I had to use a screw driver to pop it off. However, it is worth it!

Haven't had this a year and the motor has conked out. How irritating! Don't even mention changing the batteries...you have to be Hercules to do that. Would have to get boyfriend to change them. Once I actually hurt my wrist attempting to remove the battery cover. When this is working it is great (use lots of lube), but this is quite irritating not to be working! I don't want to think of this as a "disposable" toy!

This is a great vibe, but I've been thru 3 now; 1 died within a couple of weeks & only 1 or 2 uses (GV kindly sent me a replacement), the other 2 have now died as well. Still, it makes for a great noisy (read: juicy!) dildo when the motor stops working (and is fabulous for phone sex, my man LOVES to hear this one when we're on the phone). The ridges can be a little too rough at times with fast motion, other times it's fine, be careful if you're highly sensitive. Overall it's a REALLY fun & great vibe, I just wish the motor in these was built to last longer than it generally does.
