Description:
When Billy Squire sang “stroke me, stroke me”…he may have had the Turbo Stroker in mind (or in hand). This high-tech waterproof penis pump features 3 vibration speeds and 3 “stroke” speeds which are sure to deliver pulse after pulse of amazing sensations. The inner silicone-blend sleeve has nubs lining the interior for added stimulation. The entire pump comes apart (even the sleeve is removable), making clean-up a snap. This pump is a little more audible than others we carry, but our reviewer found that it definitely was not distracting. Takes four AA batteries (not included). I:4; V:5

This product is not a penis pump! May 8, 2009
Reviewer: dr_dick
Hey sex Fans!
We need to get one thing straight from the get-go. This product is not a penis pump even though the website suggest that it is!
I know a little something about penis pumps. Penis pumps are my friends. But this, sir, is no penis pump! Ok, then what the hell is it? So glad you asked. This here is a glorified masturbator. And I do mean glorified, because is has these bells and whistles that are supposed to make strokin’ your dick more of a mind-bending pleasure. Alas, I’m afraid that the Stroker is only partially successful in fulfilling that goal.
The Waterproof Turbo Stroker is a handsome lookin’ device — nice appealing shape, sleek lines. It even has four LED lit buttons at the top of the cylinder that indicates the varying vibration speeds and amount of stroking action. This has such an appealing look, if your left it out on your kitchen counter top, everyone would think it was one of those handy little blender/mixers that are all the rage these days.
Here’s what I like about the Waterproof Turbo Stroker besides its appearance.
1. I liked the phthalates free silicone sleeve. It was snug on my dick and the beaded surface was a nice little bonus. However, if I think the folks who designed the Stroker should have made the cylinder and insert longer. Anyone with more than an average endowment will feel cramped. I know I did. And I ain’t no king kong, if ya catch my drift.
2. I really liked the way the device disassembles for easy cleaning. You can pop the cylinder and insert in the dishwasher for effortless clean up.
3. I liked that the top of the Stroker unscrewed for easy battery replacement. One can easily take out the battery pack when the device is not in use. This will increase the life of the batteries (4-AA, not included).
4. The vibrating action is only pretty ok, but nothing to write home about. What one does get is a lot of noise. This is where it really resembles a kitchen gadget.
Here’s what I didn’t like about the Waterproof Turbo Stroker.
1. The stroking action is a joke! In fact, there’s no real stroking going on here at all. There is this little plunger type thing that comes down from the top of the unit, which makes this pathetic up-and-down motion that sort of jiggles the silicone sleeve a bit. At all three speeds the “action” was way more annoying then it was erotic.
2. If ya try to use both the vibration and the “stroking” action at the same time and at the highest speeds, it sounds like it’s gonna take off. Better get some ear plugs!
3. This thing is very expensive considering how ineffective it is.
4. I thought the manufacturer should have included the first set of batteries. I wouldn’t have had to scramble all over the house to find 4-AA batteries just to do the review.
In the end, since I had my dick in the thing and the thing was in my hand, I decided to turn off the stroking action (completely useless) and use only the first speed on vibration action (so I could hear myself think dirty thoughts) and leisurely stroked myself as nature intended. It was a pleasant enough experience; not fabulous, but pleasant enough. I kept thinking, I wonder if I could whip eggs with this thing.
If you want to know the truth, and I think you should…once I finished testing the Stroker for this review, I shut the thing off. I took the silicone sleeve off the cylinder, held the sleeve in my hand and reinserted my willie. Ahhh, much better! I finished my leisurely stroking session using only my hand and the sleeve. And ya know what? It was the best part of the whole experience.
There are plenty of other much cheaper alternatives to the Waterproof Turbo Stroker in the marketplace…maybe not as pretty, but definitely less expensive. If I were to advise the manufacturer I’d suggest they keep the swell design, lose the “stroking action,” improve on the vibrating action and make it a whole lot more quiet. Then they’d have a really great product.

Turbo Strucken January 8, 2009

This was immensely enjoyable while it lasted (I burned out so many batteries I got a double set of rechargeables). But the earlier review that voiced concern about long-term durability was right on target. The first warning was the disclaimer that no replacement parts can be purchased. Hmmmm. Why mention that if there is no NEED for replacement parts? My stroker sleeve also tore in the process of removing and replacing for cleaning. So I simply left the sleeve attached and cleaned it like a "bathtub" rather than a "shower." But somehow the ripped sleeve recently tangled in the pumping/vibrating mechanism extension, and seems to have stripped the gears. I can find no way to access the working parts, and I can't find any authorized Turbo Stroker repair centers nearby. Good idea, but poorly designed/constructed. GV, are you listening? This turbo just didn't rack up the miles. For 80-something dollars, I expect the enjoyment I did receive from this device to last a lot longer!!!!

I really enjoy this toy. It's a bit noisy, but I suppose that's to be expected when you have a vibrating elastic drum-like material and an electric motor in a closed chamber. I found that the "medium" settings were most effective. I really like that it's almost hands-free. For a software engineer who suffers for carpel tunnel syndrome, it's a relief to eliminate the second most common cause of repetitive stress injuries. I do take a bit of issue with the notion of the sleeve being removable. Yes, it's removable, and I take it out for cleaning after every use. It's a bit harder, however, to put it back together. I've also noticed what seems like a crack in the ring-like portion of the sleeve that fits around the motor/vibration thingamabob, which makes me a bit concerned about long-term durability. The packaging uses the standard "novelty" disclaimer, so I worry that the $80+ device could become useless (except for waking the neighbors).
do some research before purchasing this... July 21, 2008

if you look elsewhere on the internet, you'll only see terrible reviews for this product. i really wish the GV would begin offering some high quality hand's free 'strokers' - or do what they do best - create their own.
Pricey, noisy, terrible stroke function, not for above-average penises, but great vibration function July 8, 2008

I was really excited to get this product after the wonderful write up it got on the GV website, especially since it was an item that wasn't just a plain sleeve. "HOLY CRAP, NEW ADVANCES IN THE FIELD OF MALE MASTURBATION TECHNOLOGY!" I thought to myself, and also screamed at any friends who would listen. Srsly, I was excited. When it finally arrived a couple things immediately worried me: 1) I hadn't realized that this was considered a "pump". Which was worrisome because I've heard terrible things about pump toys as far as men are concerned. Stretching tissue and all that. 2)The packaging made it look like the kind of toy to come from a skeezy sex shop (totally not what I'm used to with GV), which just made me worry more about the whole 'pump' issue, especially since it claimed that it was a "novelty" toy on the side of the box. Well Good Vibes hadn't let me down in the past, so I decided to sally forth and give the toy a whirl. I lubed up pretty good and then went at it. It was really amazing. A bit loud, but really amazing. The vibration feature is what really did it for me, just wave after wave of ecstasy rolling across my cock. The stroking feature added a bit, but mainly it was just negligible and noisy, and a little bit awkward at times. The shape of the thing isn't really that great and I sorta ended up just squeezing my dick in. At first I figured the whole 'pump' thing wasn't a big deal but within the day I noticed that the veins on my penis were bulging and the head was a bit bigger and a bit lopsided. Which freaked me the fuck out. Luckily after several days most of it died down and then a week later things were fully over, but I am never going to use the stroke function again. I still use the vibration function which is wonderful, though loud (though not as loud as the stroke). Final verdict: Save yourself some money and get a better sleeve with a back end to put a vibe into.
