Annoying to work with August 4, 2012

Reviewer: Need power

When I got it, I really didn't know what to do with the nub or dip at all. I don't really use either now.

The only problem I have with it is in order to get to the highest setting (which is the only setting that can get me over the top), I have to turn the nob all the way, and firmly hold it in place. This has worked, after some coaxing, but makes my fingers ache (and that's why you buy vibrators, right?)

I was enjoying my first experimentation with this vibe when the adjustable dial broke off, as mentioned by other reviewers.

Pros:
- vibrations are strong, "deep" vibrations; more of a BUZZZZZZ than a bzzzzzz
- interesting design with dual end, which I would have liked to try further
- quiet, especially for its power
- I liked the dimmer-switch-type gradual adjustment dial

Cons:
- vibrations are strong throughout the toy, which buzzes your hand as well as your nethers
- before it broke, the non-business end of the thing got hot, I mean HOT, after only about 20 minutes of use or less
- as mentioned, stupid end cap broke off maybe halfway through the first time I used it

The only reason I gave it 2 stars instead of 1 is that I was enjoying it until it broke. However, the design is obviously faulty that so many reviewers are having the same problem. I'd like to buy another one except that I'd expect the same thing to happen to it. Hopefully it would at least last through its first ride next time. I could understand if it'd been a well-loved workhorse, but breaking halfway through the first time I used it is totally unacceptable.

Would gladly buy another one at this price if they fixed this blatant, egregious quality control issue.

I bought this vibe last September. I loved it! However, just 6 months later, with occasional use, it shorted out and no longer works, much to my disappointment. I'm not sure if this is a manufacturer defect or not, but I do wish it had lasted a bit longer and had a warranty. :-(

i like to start with a gentle vibe, and then really crankin' up the heat. this toy catered to my needs perfectly. as soon as it arrived at my door, i popped the double A batteries from my wireless keyboard into this little guy and had some "me" time before work. the size is perfect and it's not too loud, unless you use it at the highest speed (which is pretty intense).

Excellent, amazing, I'm honestly blown away. I wasn't expecting to jump on the audible orgasms bandwagon but here I am, even though I was initially disappointed with its power. Ever since the second try, partnered with the Turbo Glider, I've essentially revitalized my solo sex life. I haven't had any trouble keeping the dial set to where I want it and I use both tips. The focused vibrations of the point are great for getting started or applying focused vibrations, while the scoop has that fantastic ability to stimulate the entire clitoris, all sides at once, with the edges of the scoop bringing some overlap with the more focused vibrations if desired.

In short, the scoop and focused stimulation options in one toy are absolutely brilliant. My only real quibble with this toy is that the battery compartment is coupled with the dial and is so hard to open and close. Consider that it's advised not to store your toy with batteries inside it and I do worry about the dial breaking early. I do wish at times it had a higher intensity of vibrations, but that's more minor a complaint since I have other, stronger vibrations if this one's too weak for my mood.

The best improvement though, would be to offer this in a more handheld size too (e.g. like the BonBon by Natural Contours). That would be spectacular, just imagining how amazing it could be to use a scooped design during partnered sex one day...!

I bought this based on what the others had to say about it. Overall, the quietness, along with the intensity of the vibrations is what I loved most about it. The unique shape was also a plus.
The only complaint I have though, is that if you have the vibrations set pretty high, the adjustable dial doesn't keep in place; you have to hold it in place with one hand (to keep it at the strength you desire) while holding the actual vibrator with the other hand. I did try holding the vibrator and dial (on the bottom) with one hand and it's awkward. In other words, it doesn't matter during solo play but it's not so great during sex play.
It would have been much more useful if they had a switch of some kind to keep the vibes at a set level (but hey, I guess this is what you get, for not having to deal with a remote....?)
Additionally, this is a continual vibration, there is no ramping or random set of vibes...from low to high continual vibrations.
Still, this is my new favorite toy.
Just putting the drawbacks out there for those who may want variations in their vibrations and/or need/want to use this with only one hand : )

This toy is the best thing I've ever bought for myself. You can use it so many ways. The scoop and the nub are both awesome for nipple stimulation. The nub is niiiice to massage random places to get yourself ready, then the scoop is there to push you over the edge. I love this toy. I've got a bullet and a G-swirl, but neither can do what this toy does to my body. This toy is great if you like to sit up on your knees and play because it's long enough to to lay across the whole area and rub against (hump, if that's what you're into). It's perfect. OH! and you can use it in the shower or bath! This is a great buy ladies, no joke. You will have fun.

I liked the feel of the vibrations on this one. When using the cupped side and pressing down, I could feel the rumbles through my clit and labia. They felt good with the nub as well, and I actually liked using that side better. I found with the nub that a lighter touch was more stimulating and I could really use the nub to tease my clit. In fact, a lighter touch got me to orgasm faster than hard grinding.

What makes this clit vibe so unique is that it comes with some options. Not only does it come with a dial for ramping up the vibrations but you can also pick if you would like pin-pointed vibrations or if you would prefer not so direct vibrations. On one side of the vibes is a nub that you can press right against your clit and on the other side is more of a concave scoop (if you will), that cups around the clit. I will admit that I like both sides and use either depending on what I’m in the mood for. Some that have really sensitive clits will want to use the concave side while those that need a little more vroom can use the pointed side.

The vibrations go from “not doing much for me” to “multiple orgasm vibrations”. I’ve read other reviews on this toy that say it doesn’t pack enough punch. I’m one that needs a little more rev and this toy worked just fine for me on the highest speed. Yes, I do need to use the highest speed, but it gets me where I want to be. I don’t think this is the most complex toy, but it is the one that has been laying on my bookshelf since I got it. It has become my bedside friend.

What makes this vibrator special though is the uniquely shaped head that allows you to stimulate your clitoris in two ways, and the long handle that lets you do so without having to stretch. You can used the “scoop” part to nestle over the entire area and get more widespread vibrations, or the protruding nub to get very pinpointed vibrations exactly where you want them. Personally, the nub was a little *too* much for me to enjoy, but the scoop fit my anatomy well and felt terrific.

The Blue Venus Waterproof Vibrator from Good Vibrations is nothing short of fantastic!

In fact, this waterproof vibrator was far more than I expected. As soon as I took it out of its box and plastic wrapping, I realized I was in for a surprise. The Blue Venus is so soft and silky smooth. The site says it has a “velvety-smooth” texture and I’m not saying I didn’t believe it. I just didn’t know how pleasantly smooth the Blue Venus could be.

I love the vibrations from the Blue Venus Waterproof Vibrator. I find them lower pitched and more rumbly than your average buzzy vibrator. It makes for deeper orgasms for me and doesn’t make my clit go numb quickly. Unless, of course, I overdo it which I have a tendency to do!

The cup and the nub have quite different functions and feelings as far as I’m concerned. Both are good for nipple play. I use the nub to trace around my nipples while I use the cup for direct nipple contact. The cup is great for teasing my way down my body, stomach, inner thighs. Then I like to switch to the nub to play with my labia. The cup disseminates vibrations all over and around my clit, while the nub is super focused and gets right up under the hood. The Blue Venus has two sides: a scoop side to cradle your clit lovingly and a nubby side to assault it with pinpoint vibrations. I’m not fond of pinpoint vibrations, so I didn’t think I’d use the nub at all. After having a couple nice orgasms with the scoop side on my clit, I tried the nub, and found that it did indeed hurt me for clitoral stimulation. But when I placed the nub at my vaginal entrance and laid the undulating “stem” of the toy along my clit, it was amazing. The strong, thuddy vibrations carried into my vagina while also stimulating my clitoris, and I soon had the kind of huge orgasm I normally only get through penetration.

The vibrations in this toy really surprised me. Not only are they strong and thuddy, they’re also deep and rumbly. They bring to mind a jackhammer more than anything. That sounds scary, but it shouldn’t; it feels incredibly good. I’ve read about vibrations like this, but never expected to find them in a toy this inexpensive. And the Blue Venus is so strong, I only turn it up to medium-low, and then only when I want to feel overwhelmed. This is an absolutely amazing toy!! It looks deceptively simple, but the spoon-like hollow at the top of the vibrator, cups your clitoris, creating an intense and strong orgasm, almost simulating an oral sex sensation.
The knob at the end turns and the speeds can then go from slower to faster. The tip at the end vibrates quite strongly, and you can use it to reach your g-spot by inserting it fully inside you. I prefer using the spoon-like hollow to bring my clitoris to an orgasm, and you could even combine it with another vibrator, to reach both your g-spot and stimulate your clitoris at the same time.
