Our Anthem

In our world, pleasure is celebrated. Shame is erased in favor of empowerment. WHY? is replaced with HOW? Or maybe, HOW OFTEN? Curiosity is revered and encouraged. Information is openly shared. And sex, in every form, can be nothing short of extraordinary. This is the world of Good Vibes.

About Us

When Good Vibes was founded in 1977, we were one of America's first sex-positive, shame-free, woman-friendly places to shop for all things pleasure. While the world has changed dramatically since then, our commitment to spreading sex positivity and accurate sex information has never wavered. Regardless of gender identity, sexual preference, erotic preference, relationship status, or anything else for that matter, we believe that pleasure is your birthright. We've always prided ourselves on catering to everybody and meeting our customers "where they are" by asking questions, listening with a non-judgmental ear, and inspiring curiosity about what's possible.Magic Wand In 1990, sexologist Dr. Carol Queen joined our team and has been an active steward of our ongoing education. In fact, our Sex Education Sales Assosciates (SESAs) receive more informational training about sex than the vast majority of physicians. They are always available in-store and online to answer questions and recommend products based on need, desire, experience level-you name it.

Spreading sex and pleasure positivity is our mission, and we champion this belief through our GiVe Program, which supports organizations with aligned goals. We have been agents for social change since the beginning, and in 1995 we declared May “National Masturbation Month" as a political response to the firing of then Surgeon General Joycelyn Elders for recommending masturbation be addressed as a part of sex education curriculum.

We will continue to be a beacon of sex positivity and pleasure for women, men, transgender and nonbinary folks from all walks of life and all over the world. It's our pleasure to help everybody find and celebrate theirs.

Vision

We work toward a day when people (of all genders and all orientations) have access to safe, non-judgmental, sex-positive information, products, and resources so they can cultivate their own best sexual health and intimate choices. We help make this vision a reality via raising awareness of the many diverse issues surrounding sex and gender. We focus on comfortable and informed communication in our stores, online, and in our community outreach. Our extensively trained Sex Educator Sales Associates and other company representatives highlight sexual knowledge, options, and quality products and represent our values to the public.

Values

Good Vibes strives to be an agent for community service and social change. We care deeply about sexuality and gender, diversity, environmental awareness, and ethical business practices. We rely on a diverse and educated workforce to support our customers. They represent our company vision: a focus on quality, comfort, and freedom from shame. Providing trustworthy information from a sex-positive perspective allows us to connect with people and positively affect their lives, and this makes our own work meaningful. Within our organization, and throughout the communities we serve, we work to foster respect.

GOOD VIBES Gives Back

Give Image For over 45 years, Good Vibes’ mission has been to advocate social consciousness, sex positivity and empowerment for all, regardless of age, race, gender identity, or economic status. With the rapid changes to cultural and political climates, we are more compelled than ever to support partners and organizations that foster respect, diversity, and acceptance in the communities that we serve, and in which we live. Through our GiVe program, we collect donations to support non-profits and charities that provide resources and support to those seeking help in a multitude of ways. We select local and national charities that aid marginalized communities, provide sexual health services, provide safe spaces for survivors, defend the rights of underrepresented populations, deliver aid to victims of natural disasters, and more. Good Vibes also provides educational outreach workshops and support to help people on their journey to both mental and physical wellness. 100% of all donations collected go directly to our partners.

Responsible Sourcing

We are committed to providing customers the highest quality products available. Our product collection has been carefully curated to ensure products are not only superior in performance, but also that they are body-safe with as low a carbon footprint as possible. Sex toys are made from many different materials, with varying amounts of information available about them. We test and review many products for safety, and always choose the best-quality items we can. In 2001, Good Vibes was the first company in the US to look into the issue of items containing phthalates (chemical softeners that raised concerns about toxicity in plastics) and researched safer alternatives. In 2007, we became the first multi-channel retail company to discontinue products made with this substance, and the rest of the sex toy industry soon followed suit. Today, we still uphold the same commitment to quality and safety because we want our customers to feel good (both literally and figuratively) about what they are putting in their bodies.

Protecting the Environment

When sourcing products, we are committed to working with vendors that consider the environmental impact they have during production and packaging of their goods for distribution. You will find that many of the toys we offer are powered by rechargeable batteries, reducing the number of batteries that end up in landfills. We also look for as many products as possible that contain natural ingredients (especially lubricants), as there is less processing required, resulting in fewer emissions that could be harmful to the environment.
