Good Vibrations Partners with Vibrator Manufacturers and the National Breast Cancer Coalition to "Think outside the Pink"

Pioneering Sex Positive Retailer Makes a Differences

SAN FRANCISCO (October 1st, 2013): This October, Good Vibrations, the trusted San Francisco-based company that takes pride in providing accurate information on sexuality and quality sex toys for grown-ups, is partnering with key vibrator manufacturers to raise funds for the National Breast Cancer Coalition (NBCC) through their "think outside the pink" campaign. Inspired to support the cause of ending breast cancer and wanting to draw attention to pleasure and health, Good Vibrations gladly includes products of any color in the movement to raise funds for NBCC. Whether you are surviving cancer and having to reinvent or rediscover your sex life or are an ally and loved one of someone fighting breast cancer, we are partnering with key vendors to raise funds to go directly to NBCC.

From October 1st to October 31st Good Vibrations' customers can show their support for NBCC by making a financial gift to the National Breast Cancer Coalition at the time of their Good Vibrations purchase where 100% of their donation goes to NBCC. Online shoppers can contribute directly at checkout and learn more about their donations program on the GiVe Partner page.

Good Vibrations is also partnering with six top vendors to make doing good feel better. 10% of the proceeds from partner products - in a variety of colors - will go to NBCC, including the We-Vibe 3, Pyxis from Jopen, Fifi by JeJoue, Mystic Wand from Vibratex, the Gyro-G by Pleasure Works, and the Jimmyjane Form 3. Online shoppers can see the selections on the GiVe Partner page, and choose to make an additional gift if they choose.

"The idea of working with our vendors to make a difference was so natural, and everyone was delighted to participate. It's great to offer these high quality, ecorotic items in a way that actually affects positive change. And that makes everyone feel good!" says Senior Buyer Coyote Days.

The National Breast Cancer Coalition (NBCC) was formed in 1991 with one mission: to end breast cancer. NBCC has accomplished much over its 20-plus years bringing about unprecedented research funding to the worldwide scientific community, forging new collaborations to design research and set priorities, expanding access to information and care to underserved women, and launching unparalleled training programs to prepare advocates around the globe to work side by side with scientists, policy makers and health care providers.

NBCC is dedicated to knowing how to end breast cancer by January 1, 2020 through the power of grassroots action and advocacy. NBCC supports increasing funding for breast cancer research; monitors how those funds are spent; expands access to quality health care for all; and ensures that trained advocates influence all decision making that impacts breast cancer.

The Good Vibrations - NBCC nonprofit partnership highlights Good Vibrations' longstanding commitment to women's health and well-being. Good Vibrations' Executive Vice President Jackie Strano explains, "It has been wonderful to collaborate with our vendors on this meaningful promotion. We appreciate the work that NBCC does. We are proud of our company's core mission, vision, and values and this campaign brings those principles directly to our customers in a fun and engaging way."

For over 36 years Good Vibrations has partnered with hundreds of local and national non-profit organizations. By donating products, advertising and sponsorship for fundraisers, along with a percentage of retail sales, the company has provided much needed support for women's shelters, HIV/AIDS research, art programs, LGBT benefits, sexuality education, disaster relief and much more, detailed on their GiVe page.

Staff Sexologist Dr. Carol Queen says, "We're especially excited that this organization's terrific work includes advocacy training so that women themselves be such a powerful influence for fighting breast cancer. Just as Good Vibrations' focus has always been empowering women to be the true experts about their own sexuality, NBCC makes sure women's voices and experience are central to this critical health issue."
