Good Vibrations Partners with Regional Nonprofit Partners

Pioneering Sex Positive Retailer Makes a Difference

SAN FRANCISCO (January 31st, 2014): Good Vibrations, the trusted San Francisco-based retailer, announces its new nonprofit partners for Spring. They are partnering with the Women's Community Clinic in San Francisco, the Berkeley Free Clinic in Berkeley, ACCESS Women's Justice in Oakland, Planned Parenthood Mar Monte in Palo Alto, and the Brookline Community Mental Health Center in Brookline and online from February through April.

From February 1st – April 30th Good Vibrations' customers can support these regional nonprofits in Good Vibrations' San Francisco, Berkeley, Oakland, Palo Alto and Brookline stores by making a financial gift at the time of their purchase in any Good Vibrations retail stores. 100% of your contribution goes to the nonprofit of your choice. Online shoppers can contribute directly at checkout and learn more about their donations program on the GiVe Partner page. Good Vibrations will also give proceeds of store sales to the nonprofit partners on its 37th birthday on March 19th.

Staff Sexologist Dr. Carol Queen says, "We are delighted to partner with our regional nonprofit organizations that serve the communities that we are a part of. For over 36 years Good Vibrations has partnered with hundreds of local and national non-profit organizations. By donating products, advertising and sponsorship for fundraisers, along with a percentage of retail sales, we have provided much needed support for women's shelters, HIV/AIDS research, art programs, LGBT benefits, sexuality education, disaster relief and much more. We are proud of that legacy and glad to continue."

The Women's Community Clinic believes preventive, educational care is essential to lifelong health and that all women deserve excellent health care, regardless of their ability to pay. They work hard to ensure that each client feels comfortable and safe using her voice to direct the care she receives. The Berkeley Free Clinic was founded in 1969 and has served countless thousands in a variety of ways during its 44-year history, offering free healthcare services, materials, medications and supplies. ACCESS Women's Justice in Oakland removes barriers and builds the power of women to achieve reproductive justice through a combination of direct services, community education, and policy advocacy. Planned Parenthood Mar Monte provides life-saving preventative health care to three million women across the country offering birth control, life-saving breast and cervical cancer screening, STD testing and treatment and HIV testing among other crucial preventative health care and information services. A thriving community health center and the largest human services agency in Brookline, the Brookline Community Mental Health Center serves individuals and families experiencing adverse life circumstances and mental health issues. They provide access to timely, high quality and affordable care in a welcoming and reassuring setting.
