Off Site Sex Education Program

Good Vibration's Off-Site Sex Education (OSSE) program is a fabulous adventure in sex education. Our workshops are designed with interactivity in mind – by facilitating discussions and sharing information, we aim to help people learn more about sex and sexuality-related topics. In the spirit of having fun and helping folks get accurate sex information, we've transformed our knowledge and skills into learning events -- fun workshops with a meaningful purpose. Each workshop gets the group engaged; packed with brainstorms, exercises, and thought-provoking discussions, participants get both an education and a positive outlook on sex while having a great time.

Our presenters provide answers to tough questions, present up-to-date and accurate sex information, promote pleasure, and have the time of their lives doing it. We do our workshops for college classes, high schools, conferences, numerous service organizations as well as counselors, therapists and educators from different fields. All presenters are highly trained sexuality educators, coming from a wide range of backgrounds, so we can provide workshops on many different topics.

Our sex education comes from a pro-sex stance and sex positivity is the primary goal. We pride ourselves on the fact that our events are inclusive, geared towards many levels of understanding, and cover a wide range of sexual interests and activities. Diverse groups whose members come from a variety of backgrounds and needs are within our audience spectrum. All presentations are custom-tailored to the needs of the audience -- the event always fits the crowd.

Booking Details

We need a minimum of three weeks notice to schedule an event (although a month is preferable). Please be sure to contact us well in advance. The average length of our workshops is 1 to 2 hours. When considering your event, remember that we may need enough room for participants to sit comfortably, chairs or seating for each person, a table and wall space. Presentations can be scheduled from 8 am to 11 pm seven days a week.

We do not do explicit demonstrations of any kind. Please email Dr. Carol Queen, at carolq@goodvibes.com if you would like a referral to organizations and presenters who offer explicit workshops. For booking a workshop, please write to workshops@goodvibes.com.

Workshop Fees

Our fee for workshops in the immediate San Francisco, CA and Boston, MA areas is $275; however we do offer a sliding scale for non-profit organizations with no one turned away for lack of funding. For workshops 60 miles or further from these areas, we ask additional fees to cover travel and time expenses.

For workshops outside of the Bay Area and East Mass, all transportation and accommodations will need to be provided as well.

Testimonials

Our workshops are so popular that we get asked back again and again! But don't take our word for it. Read what some of our hosts and participants have said about our program.

"This workshop does a really great job at opening the dialogue about some usually very uncomfortable things for student doctors of many different backgrounds and knowledge levels. Your presenter is great because she runs this session more like a facilitated discussion, so it impacts and involves the participants more than any lecture format would."
--University of California medical student

"The participation of the group made sure that all were able to learn something new and to take something away from the workshop. It also made it entertaining and educational for all."
--University student group organizer

"The workshop was a perfect combination of lecture style as well as engaging activities for the participants to take part in. There was individual participation, small group and larger group work. The presentation was careful to cater to multiple learning styles that might be present in the room."
--Non-profit agency volunteer coordinator

"The presenter did a great job facilitating the workshop. The way she involved the audience really added to the workshop. The icebreakers were awesome. She made it a comfortable space for people to share and learn. She did not put anyone on the spot, or force anyone to speak. She had really good energy and a great personality."
--Workshop participant

"The presenter did an excellent job at the '10 Secrets to a Woman's Body' Sex Workshop. I learned a lot of things about my own body that I never knew. She was very informational and she got the audience involved in talking about sex and being comfortable talking about sex. All in all, this was a very good workshop that I would recommend my friends to go to."
--Workshop participant

"The facilitator was engaging without being pushy and very good at reading the group and keeping things moving at a steady pace."
--Case Manager at a women’s shelter

"I learned so much from your sex workshop. I thought I knew a lot of sex already, but I was wrong… she taught me lots of new stuff!"
--Workshop participant

"The workshop was very laid back and fun, but at the same time it met my expectations as an educational experience for everyone. Also, the speaker was very well informed and was ready to answer any questions that were thrown at her."
--University resident advisor

"The most important thing was that the educator made the environment very comfortable and positive."
--Workshop participant
