All through Good Vibrations’ 30-plus year history, we’ve been committed to making sure that our staff is the best-trained in the business. All of our Sex Educator-Sales Associates (SESAs) participate in an extensive training program, complete a required reading list and attend ongoing Continuing Education nights. We know that the best way to make sure our customers get the information and products they’re looking for is to have our staff know about sexual anatomy & physiology, how people use our products, ways to communicate with our customers, and how to help people overcome whatever barriers to sexual pleasure they face.

Over the years, we’ve had sexuality educators, counselors, sex toy store owners and pleasure party providers ask us if we offered anything similar for them. In 2006, our Education Program Manager, Charlie Glickman PhD, created Good Vibrations University (GVU), an online interactive training program specifically for sexuality educators who work in a sales setting.

The program currently has six modules:

• Sexual Anatomy
• Vibrators
• Dildos & Harnesses
• Lubricants & Condoms
• Anal Sex & Toys
• Sex-Positive Sales Techniques

Anyone interested in learning about these topics is welcome to participate in GVU. However, our primary goal is to help retailers and pleasure party providers increase their sales, boost their confidence, and improve the information they offer to their customers. GVU is interactive because it happens live. Using a computer with high-speed internet access and your phone, you can join the trainings and watch the video presentation on your computer screen while listening to the live conversation via teleconference. You can access the teleconference via phone or Voice Over Internet Protocol. VOIP lets you listen to the audio portion on your computer speakers or headphones, but you can only be heard if you have a USB microphone. There’s also a Chat function, so you can ask your questions via instant message whenever they come up, even if you don’t have a USB microphone. Dr. Glickman will provide answers and offer suggestions tailored to your specific needs, which is a huge advantage over pre-recorded static trainings.

Joining a GVU webinar is simple and easy. Once your payment has been confirmed, you’ll receive an email with the link to the webinar. Just click on the link a few minutes before the scheduled training and your web browser does the rest. If you’re joining via phone, you’ll see the phone number and access code for the teleconference. Each GVU session lasts about 60-75 minutes and you can participate from the convenience of your home, office, store, or anywhere you have a computer. We’ve even had people sign on from web cafes and hotel rooms. There are no travel expenses and no worrying about getting to and from the meeting. This makes the trainings cost-effective and simple. More than one person can participate, so you can train multiple staff members at once. Whether you work solo, you want to train key employees or you’re bringing sex-positive training to your entire staff, GVU makes it fast and convenient.

Dr. Glickman designed the program based on his experience training sexuality educators and on three decades of good vibrations operational knowledge, so it includes all the important information that you need to address customer and staff sex questions with confidence and accuracy. Individual GVU sessions are available for $100 and you can attend the series of 6 sessions for $500. We also offer a discount if you purchase the series for multiple attendees.
